C64 BASIC coding: scrolling, zooming, functions drawings, music and more

C64 BASIC coding is a lot of fun. Despite the lack of specialized commands for graphics and sound (BASIC 2.0), some techniques do allow to achieve nice results for BASIC.

The following video shows off some programs that try to go over the limits of C64 BASIC V2. Scrolling, hi-res graphics, music… a lot of topics are covered. And I think some of these programs may even outperform other programs written with most advanced BASIC languages on the C64 or other 8 bits machines.

All those programs are available on my blog with further explanations (just have a look at the section “programming“).

Have fun with C64 BASIC!
